Akim Montabe, born with powers that let him control the air around him—both through telekinesis and the control of radio waves—left his home in South Africa and relocated to New York to attend college. When his post-college travels in America took him to Seattle, he ended up joining the local hero team, Forte, and becoming the famed and respected super-hero Armature. After spending less and less time with the team, and more traveling with prominent black minister Rev. Gabriel Guyder as protection for him and his ministry, Armature eventually returned to Africa, where he became the continent’s beloved multi-national hero, helping bring peace to the turbulent region, providing aid, and becoming a symbol of hope to all African peoples. A regular speaking at the United Nations, Armature remains close with Forte and is always there to help out in times of need for his old friends.
