Every great movie needs a great soundtrack, and we like to think of Forte 2000 as just that (or a TV series, if you like), so it seemed only fitting that it should have its own. The following tunes are some of the ones that have inspired the stories, the characters, even some of the art, so we hope you’ll take the chance to explore some of them to give you a good feel for the Forte 2000 world, and its adventures, before jumping into the tales.

1. Bring Me to Life (Main Forte 2000 Theme) – Evanescence
If there was a film trailer for Forte 2000, this is the song that would be used for it. Envision the whole spectrum as you listen – action, drama, romance, flying heroes, amazing powers, loss, hope, the whole thing.

2. Everyday Combat – Lostprophets
Big action song, high energy, playing to the team in downtown Seattle, taking on the bad guys, thrilling the fans, having a good time doing it.

3. Believe It or Not – Nickelback
A little darker look at the hero team experience, lots of drama in the action, plenty of scenes of bad guys, showing the struggles the heroes go through, holding onto their edge and their faith.

4. …To Be Loved – Papa Roach
A badass ass-kicking song, showing the heroes taking care of business and taking no prisoners. Picture lots of flights, lots of speedster-running, lots of martial arts action.

5. Rise Above This – Seether
It’s not always easy being a hero…but Forte keeps doing what they do, as a team, as friends, because it’s what they do.

6. Higher – Creed
Another good trailer song, heroic and uplifting, lots of smiles from the heroes, love from the fans.

7. Follow You Down – Gin Blossoms
A lighter turn, a song focusing on the friendships within the team, the fun of being heroes, stuff with them hanging out together and enjoying each other’s company.

8. Hallelujah – Jeff Buckley
This song deals with the dark times, the tragedies that come to heroes, the loss and the struggle to go on. Used for funerals and moments of soul-searching.

9. Chasing Cars – Snow Patrol
There’s also a good deal of romance in the Forte 2000 tales, and it doesn’t always go smoothly. This song captures some of that.

10. Superman (It’s Not Easy) (Max’s Theme) – Five for Fighting
The theme song for Forte’s youngest member, Max, the good-hearted and heroic young man struggling to find his place in the world and to see the hero inside him that everyone else besides him seems to believe in.

11. Hard Candy (Nightsable’s Theme) – Counting Crows
The theme for Nightsable, just a song with a mood and a feel that captures her personality and bright disposition – “She is something altogether different, never just an ordinary girl.”

12. Faster (Vortex’s Theme) – Third Eye Blind
The theme for Vortex, the team’s speedster, a man starting over in a new town with a new life, looking to define himself and put his past behind him. Captures both the serious and fun sides of him.

13. Ready to Go (Dyna Girl’s Theme) – Republica
The theme for Dyna Girl, Forte’s petite powerhouse. Like her, it’s high energy, filled with attitude, and really soars.

14. In the Air Tonight (Seahawk’s Theme) – Phil Collins
(NOTE: iTunes reverts to the live version of this track, which is not the one meant to be used). The theme for Seahawk, the team’s dark avenger, an old-school piece of action/drama music befitting of this hero’s generation.

15. Stick ‘Em Up (Moonspider’s Theme) – Quarashi
Moonspider’s theme is pure high-powered action, fast and furious with a lot of style, suitable for scenes of much martial ass-kicking with eye-popping finesse.

16. Come Alive – Foo Fighters
Stick with the track all the way through, let it grow to its crescendo, and imagine a hero beat down, hurting, having lost hope, and suiting up anyway and rising again to face the final battle.

17. Light Up the Sky – Yellowcard
Super-heroing can be fun, too, and this track captures the good times and the hope these heroes bring to the city.

18. But Tonight We Dance – Rise Against
More of a “last stand” action track, with heroes facing a seemingly hopeless end with courage and determination.

19. Injection – Rise Against
Another track from Rise Against speaks of speed – flying, running, motorcycle-riding, jetcraft-soaring, racing to the scene of the battle, on the chase.

20. Sabotage – Beastie Boys
Two words – “Beat-down”. Imagine slow-motion shots of the heroes’ approach with “300”-style film-jumps as the action starts.

21. Wherever You Will Go – The Calling
More a reflective song, for those moments between the fights, about love and friendship and getting through it all together.

22. Bad Day – Daniel Powter
Super-heroing’s not always the dream job it’s supposed to be. But it’s just another day at the office for Forte.

23. Someday – Nickelback
A song about overcoming the tough times, pushing on through, sticking together.

24. How to Save a Life – The Fray
Another reflective song about what heroes do, finding the strength to do what has to be done.

25. Bleed American – Jimmy Eat World
Another combat song, one of fierce determination, fighting the good fight, taking care of business.

26. You and Me – Lifehouse
Another of the love songs of the Forte soundtrack.

27. Rollin’ (Air Raid Vehicle) – Limp Bizkit
The bad guys are in a LOT of trouble. Because Forte is here, and they’re enjoying this.

28. I Alone – Live
A song of more dramatic battles with higher stakes and higher emotions.

29. Rooftops (A Liberation Broadcast) – Lostprophets
If Forte 2000 were an HBO series, this is the song that would be used for the extended promo. Lots of slo-mo shots, showing the whole range of the show’s action, heartache and fun. Meaningful ad copy would be interspersed between shots. Punches, tears, hugs, laughs, triumph. All that is Forte.

30. This Is How I Disappear – My Chemical Romance
Really high-charged action song, lots of speed, lots of gritted teeth, lots of high-flying moves, lots of drama.

31. My Friends Over You – New Found Glory
A song all about the friends that make up this team, the good times together, the laughs, the fun, the glue that holds them together.

32. The Hand That Feeds – Nine Inch Nails
More of a vengeful action song, for a situation that’s gotten personal, and some payback is sought, and all bets are off.

33. Insanity (Menace’s Theme) – Oingo Boingo
Useful for any seriously creepy moment, this track is specifically meant as a theme for a forthcoming Forte villain named Menace, an insane and deadly woman who may end up being the greatest threat the team has ever faced.

34. Click Click Boom (Tinker’s Theme) – Saliva
The theme for Forte’s resident tech expert and gadget expert, Tinker, and fitting for all the (non-lethal) ass she kicks.

35. The Hell Song – Sum 41
More hard-hitting downtown hero fight action music.

36. Meant to Live – Switchfoot
A song about fighting the good fight and remembering why it’s worth fighting.

37. Feelin’ Way Too Damn Good – Nickelback
Doubles as both a look at the fun times of being on Forte and as the unofficial Forte sex song (use your imagination).

38. The Fantasy – 30 Seconds to Mars
And finally, another appropriate trailer track that’s filled with everything Forte’s about – lots of action shots, fast cuts, dramatic shots, speed and epic heroism, touching on all the big defining moments of the Forte adventures. A song that invites you, as we do, to strap in and come along for the ride.
