The Clobberin' Times Online zine of Michael O'Connell

WHAT IS FORTE?

Forte is a Champions campaign--and the name of the hero team that stars in it--run by K.C. Ryan in Sacramento, California between November of 1987 and September of 1995. The hero team was based in Seattle. Thirteen players have participated in the game, with a total of thirty-four characters between them.

The live campaign ran on a weekly basis, and reached 328 runs, or "issues", before the campaign's end. The campaign timeline continues on through convention games run annually at Comic-Con International in San Diego, through a sequel campaign called "Forte 2000", and through web-based fiction and other materials presented through the Clobberin' Times Online.
